Meet the Artist:
How one took pain and made it into a story about beauty and power
Hello, I'm Nathasa Rae
(pronounced Natasha Ray),
I am a neo-pop ink illustrator renowned for creating powerful warriors. You might have spotted me on HGTV Urban Oasis or in local publications like Indy Maven and local shop such as Hampton & Co. As I've spent the last few years crafting these empowering female warriors, my journey now extends beyond ink as I explore various mediums and styles. My central mission remains unchanged—to inspire and empower women to embrace their genuine beauty and strength.
Art, to me, is a profound force for healing and encouragement. Through my creations, I aspire to make a meaningful impact on those who connect with my work. Currently residing in central Indiana with my husband, father, two daughters, and my trusty dog Elsa, I invite you to join me on this artistic journey. Let's continue to celebrate authenticity, strength, and the beauty that resides within every woman.
Background and Training
I was taught how to draw at a very young age by my mother who notices an interest. I attended a few artist classes at IUSB.
I taught myself how to paint using acrylic and watercolors as I was attending college fr pre-production animation and graphic design.
To this day I am always testing and exploring my skills to continue to grow in my craft. I am currently teaching myself to create digital art with procreate on my ipad.
